Hinterglemm

Nestled in the Pinzgau region of the Alps, Saalbach-Hinterglemm is a small village 1003m above sea level. Within easy reach of 3 major airports: Salzburg (90 mins), Munich, Germany (120 mins) and Innsbruck (190 mins) Hinterglemm is a short drive/bus ride away from Maishofen and Zell am See, the nearest train stations.

Winter:

Hinterglemm is part of the Ski Circus incorporating ski resorts at Lengau, Saalbach, Viehofen and Leogang. It is one of Austria's premier ski resorts with skiing on both sides of the valley. Rising to 2096m, there are 52 lifts; over 200 km of superb downhill skiing and Hinterglemm boasts its own flood-lit ski area - which you can see from the balcony. Summer:

The Alps are not solely a winter past time. During the summer months the snow gives way to lush grassy banks revealing over 400km of hiking trails and 80km of mountain bike routes. Mountain biking is becoming more popular and Saalbach-Hinterglemm hosts annual events including the World Games of Mountain Biking. The Alps are also a fantastic destination for motor biking boasting hundreds of kilometres of bike friendly roads with amazing scenery. There are several large meets during the summer including the Harley Davidson festival.
